What emphasis do you put on music during your lessons ?

Music is also essential ! Because all the magic in a dancing couple comes from the music. The music allows both partners to be together and to move together. Even when there is a musicak break, you must keep on feeling it in your body because this is what gives a color to the dance.

How do you choose the music you display in your lessons ?

We work with several orchestras according to the complexity of their music. To start with beginners, we work on Di Sarli, then for the intermediate 1 and intermediate 2 levels, we work on more dynamic and complex orchestras like Troilo and d'Arienzo. Afterwards we work with softer rythm where melody gets more important such as Calo, Angel Vargas or even sometimes Pugliese from the 40s. During the lessons for the advanced level, we often start with rythmical orchestras like Di Sarli then we work on more complex musics from Pugliese, Piazzolla or contemporary orchestras like Salgan, ... Here, the rythm is more difficult to find, there are opportunities to play with the music, to uses the pauses, the syncopes, ...
