| Every month Bernadette (Mephisto Tango!) selects videos and make comments for you. Her selection is made of videos selected on youtube as well as videos from Mephisto Tango!'s private archives.
After a selection dedicated to the Vals, the Milonga and Pablo VERON, Bernadette selected POEMA, a Tango from Francisco CANARO. POEMA seems really popular among professional dancers, as Bernadette found no less than 13 interpretations. We guess that Poema's slow tempo is one reason of its popularity, as it allows the dancers to give a great attention tho the interpretation and the connexion between both partners. Most couples dance it with a close embrace, some use milongero apilado style, and some other alternate between close and open embrace. Only one couple tried it in Nuevo Style (Kamran and Colleen).
Take a few moments to compare different styles, and Javier and Geraldine, Chicho and Eugenia (musicality and originality), Ney and Jennifer (displacement) as well as the kids Gustavito and Ayelin, ...
In my humble opinion, the most accomplished interpretation belongs to Javier and Geraldine, absolutly prodigious.
